We worked with Sweet&Chilli, a global drinks agency, to launch Diageo Bar Academy’s 2022 World Class Bartender of The Year Program. The event consisted of information sessions, an interactive masterclass and a live Q&A with World Class Australian ambassador Krystal Hart.
The Connected team delivered a pop-up broadcast studio at Sweet&Chilli’s head office in Sydney styled to capture the look and feel of the awards, while providing the stream with a high quality broadcast for their virtual audience. For this event, we used a mix of pre-recorded content, which was recorded and edited by our team prior to the event, and live action streamed directly to the online audience. To create a seamless stream, our team combined 2 different camera angles and our lighting and audio equipment, with a teleprompter and a show director from our team to manage the content output.
To run the Q&A portion of the event, the questions from the virtual audience were pushed to the presenters' in-studio foldback screens to allow the host the ability to answer the questions at her own pace, and provide a professional transition between event segments. The entire live stream was also recorded by our team and once edited, uploaded to Vimeo so the client could create post-event content and offer the event recording to anyone who couldn’t make it. Furthermore, we collated all allowable data from the interactive polling, viewing statistics and audience feedback to provide Sweet&Chilli immediate post-event engagement data.
