In May 2022, we had the pleasure of assisting EVT Incentive Marketing in producing Toyota’s Women Conference Australia, a one day hybrid event in Melbourne. This event consisted of an all-day conference with a range of speakers, a gala dinner with keynote speakers & entertainment, all delivered to a live audience of approximately 300 people and around 500 online attendees. We provided a 9m x 2.5m LED wall and the LED wall content management, along with all of the required broadcast and streaming capabilities.
All events have their challenges - troubleshooting is all part of the fun of the industry! - and this one was no different. The venue itself proved to be particularly challenging for this event, both in terms of shape and access; the room had pillars in the centre of the room, meaning we had to creatively centre the room to align the screen between pillars to avoid viewing angles being disrupted. Challenges like this highlight the advantage of getting your AV supplier involved in your event as early as possible - we’ll see these potential issues upfront and resource the event accordingly to ensure they don’t become problems on install and event day.
Despite these challenges, the event was reportedly a huge success. The room lighting seemed to be a particular highlight with many attendees commenting on how much it contributed to the event’s vibe - this was done with moving head lights, which meant we were able to change the whole look & feel of the room by changing the colour of the lights and with table pin spotting. And all set up to be done by us, with the touch of a button!
