Boomi World Tour 2024 - Mars United

At Connected Event Group, we’re always excited to get creative with technology for conferences and events. But what many people don’t realise, is the immense amount of behind-the-scenes work that goes into ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day. 

For the Boomi World Tour Sydney event in November, we had the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our passion for meticulous pre-production planning and flawless on-site execution to our client Mars United.

The Challenge

This two-day conference for 300 attendees featured a dynamic plenary with panels, keynotes, and breakout sessions. With international clients and speakers involved, the most challenging part of the event was managing extensive rehearsals and configuring content to meet each speaker’s unique requirements. Careful attention to detail was necessary to adapt presentations and ensure everything met the highest standards.

The Solution

We provided a full suite of AV solutions to ensure a seamless event experience. High-quality screens and audio systems kept visuals and sound clear and engaging, while a digital lectern and foldback screens assisted presenters with seamless delivery. 

On-site content management was essential, with our team updating presentations on the go and adjusting content to meet each speaker’s needs until everyone was satisfied. Extensive rehearsals took place every morning and evening during the bump-in and show run, guaranteeing smooth execution throughout the event.

Our Account Manager and Producer Nico, was on-site to keep everything on track. Nico’s coordination allowed our technicians to focus on the technical production during the event, ensuring an impactful experience for attendees. Nico’s role as show caller was critical, particularly in coordinating with the event’s MC, Adam Spencer. From managing stings and video cues to overseeing panel changeovers, every transition was carefully orchestrated to maintain the event’s momentum.

To enhance the atmosphere, we designed creative lighting for the foyer and registration area, adding an extra touch of energy and professionalism that elevated the overall event experience.

The Results

This event was a testament to the value of having a dedicated production team that not only delivers exceptional AV but also ensures the entire experience runs like clockwork. We thrive on the creative and logistical challenges that come with producing world-class events, and the Boomi World Tour Sydney was no exception.
