PCOA Podcasts and Webinars

The Challenge

Since 2022, we have collaborated with The Professional Conference Organisers Association to create and run an ongoing podcast series “The Conference Collective”, and produce their monthly virtual webinar series.

The Solution

THE CONFERENCE COLLECTIVE PODCAST

'The Conference Collective' podcast, celebrates the best in innovation and leadership from those who are creating a positive change in the business events industry. As part of our partnership with The PCOA, we produce and edit the podcast episodes and also create the marketing and promotional material surrounding each guest. Furthermore, our very own Libbie Ray also acts as the podcast’s host, interviewing each guest and drawing out key insights for the podcast’s audience.

A highlight for Season 3 was bringing our portable recording studio to The PCOA23 Conference in Adelaide. There, we recorded a number of interviews to be released as Conference Collective podcast episodes throughout the year and had a blast creating Vox Pops with attendees, and hearing the latest event industry insights.

Our portable recording studio is a new offering in 2024. The booth is perfect for filming podcasts and interviews, and also works as a private meeting room on an otherwise vibrant and busy event floor. The portable studio is completely customisable, allowing you to match the booth to your branding and event theme, or, to enable you to provide booth branding as a sponsorship opportunity.

The Conference Collective is a huge hit with listeners, achieving over 2200 downloads across the three seasons currently available.

PCOA WEBINARS

In addition to the podcast collaboration, we also work with PCOA to produce their monthly virtual webinars. These webinars aim to address key topics of interest for PCOA members, and are also offered to non-members as an educational resource for those new to, or considering joining, the event industry.

To bring the webinars to life, the CEG team built a custom Microsite to host the virtual events, to ensure a seamless and engaging virtual viewing experience. Through the Microsite, attendees are able to register for the webinars, receive updates and reminders, and login securely on the event day. Our event microsites are a customised and branded event website that hosts your event live stream, along with an integrated Q&A / polling app to optimise engagement.

Post event, the webinar recordings are hosted on demand for a week, and an EDM is sent to all registrants along with any supporting material from the presentations. Importantly, PCOA is also able to track the number of registrations, logins, and views, along with a number of other requested data points (whilst retaining the registrant's privacy).

As part of our partnership with The PCOA, we also provide a Webinar Host for the series along with a producer who manages all guests, speakers, and technical elements required to pull together the virtual webinar events. Incorporating CEG’s high quality audio visual equipment, along with technical rehearsals to identify and troubleshoot potential issues, plays a pivotal role in ensuring a flawless execution on each webinar record.
